Please help with graphics upgrade

So I have a Gateway desktop DX4300 (the older one from 2009) and I want to start using it for gaming. I was wondering if I could upgrade my graphics card and use it as a gaming computer, or is it too old? If it is possible, what kind of graphics cards could I possibly buy and install to my computer so I could play newer games that require more video RAM?

There are some variations on the DX4300 model. They will have a dash and a number after the 4300. Example: DX4300-11, DX-4300-21, etc. Which one do you have?

As far as I can tell, there is no dash or numbers; unless I'm looking in the wrong places, that is. I'm on the system information and it says, "System Model: DX4300." If it helps, it also says, "System Type: X86-based PC."

Yep that's mine. Except mine has dual-core not quad-core processors.

But verify that you have a 300W PSU.
What resolution is your monitor?

At that lowly resolution, you should be very, very satisfied. As long as your old dual core can keep up with the GTX 750 Ti, you should be able to run near max settings in most games.

Of course, they are not in the same class as the GTX 750 Ti. But still good for low resolution displays like yours.
