Please help with laptop problem

I spilled water on my alienware 17 laptop. I took out the components last night and left them to dry overnight. I turn my laptop on and it goes to the alien ware logo for about 5 seconds then switches off. Any help on what the problem might be?

Probably the fact that you spilled water on it.
electronics and water don't really mix. Even letting it dry probably didn't do anything. The damage has been done.
you probably need a new motherboard.
