PLEASE HeLP !!

so i have what i thought was a decent pc build but it does not run games to its potential or very good at all i idk if its my cpu motherboard or what i am new at PC building so please work with me if this sounds funny but i notice in games i can barley run medium quality without the pc struggling it runs good for about 30 secs then it drops fps like crazy and repeat please help iv tried and tried to figure this out some games i play is arma 3 ESO things like that and it sucks with all the moeny i spent that i cant run more than med quality in anything somtiumes low heres my specs Thank you

AMD FX 6300 six core 3.50ghz
geforce gtx 950
16gb ram

What are your cpu and gpu temperatures when the drop in fps happen?

Also don't expect too much if playing at 1080p. The 950 is an entry level gpu from last generation and the FX6300 is very weak by todays standards.

i am not a 100% sure i think i checked it before it it jumped when it droped but i have 2 fans in the pc what else could i do

actually i have the evga precisionx and i watch that and it stays around 55 even during the game

It would be a good idea to use a non gaming benchmark to test your system. Something like 3dmark will give you a better idea of if things are working well or not.

A game like Arm 3 doesn't run all that well on anything. That's the problem with depending on game testing, you first need to use a well optimized game. If you just use the games you have or like, you run the risk of having compromised results from the start.
