Hello! I'm in need of some help here - My Monitor, keyboard, and mouse will not pick up signal from my new PC build. To give some context, I was playing an emulated game the other day, a cut scene was playing and then nothing. The PC continued running, but the monitor, keyboard, and mouse lost signal. I powered down the PC in hopes that it might come back up as normal and I could continue playing my game and nothing.

So far I have tried:

  • reseating the GPU
  • checking all of the power supply cables to make sure they were plugged in

  • reseated the RAM sticks
  • removed the cmos battery and 24 pin power supply from the mother board while holding the power button down for 30 seconds.
  • I made sure that the monitor, keyboard, and mouse worked with my laptop - all good.
  • I have tried moving the USB and HDMI cables to different slots - nothing changed

Thanks for any suggestions!

How old is your PSU? Its not that good of an unit and it might've given up which means that you'll need to buy a new psu.

Also your wattage is too low for your setup. 500W might've been enough if you had a good psu. Recommended is around 550W-600W

A solid option for your current setup:
TX550M
if you plan on upgrading in the near future i'd suggest to buy the 650W model

Thank you. It’s not even a month old. I’ll have to look into swapping that out soon then to see if that’s the issue!
