If you suspect a rare malware infection, reinstall windows is usually the thing to do.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

Possibly a corrupted character/font.

Do you see distorted characters in any other apps and/or games?

What game are you playing? Source?

Does the time appear normal when you are not playing the game?

Run "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt.

DO you have a restore point from a few days to a week ago before this malady began?

In a now deleted (profanity laced) post he admits to downloading software from "shady" sites. I suspect there are one or more viruses/trojans or other malware at work here. Only a complete wipe and reinstall from known clean media is the answer. And in the future stay away from those "shady" sites.
