I'm looking to update the core of my machine - MOBO, CPU, RAM and GFX Card.

I've got the monitor (27" 1080p Samsung), keyboard, mouse, speakers, case and PSU (550W).

This is for gaming and specifically Dishonored 2 and up. I'm so out of the loop with regards to hardware though so I need help/opinions on my choices:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£214.95 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£29.98 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£131.98 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£89.97 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card (£434.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £901.87

Is there anything I should be tweaking? Thanks for your help.

Those Krait boards look awesome, but last I knew were plagued with buggy bios issues. That MSI card is overpriced. With some changes, you can get a better board, cooling, and still get a decent clocked GTX 1070, for less.

it really depends on what you need in a mobo as to if its worth it to spend 130 or 400 on one it would be better to invest that money into the cpu or gpu imo for a gaming rig

Well this is the question. I'd like to be able to play games and program. I know if I can game with the latest releases on good settings (like Dishonored 2) it'll be able to cope with web coding. But this is why I'm asking.

The only thing unusual I might do is try and turn it into a Hackintosh.

The i7 6700will give you a boost in some game's that use the cpu more...... like Wow, gta v , flight sims...... it would also let you use more things on the background while gaming do to its 4 core and HT 4 virtual cores
