Best performance is with NVMe with PCIe v5.0.

I don't think you can buy a 3tb nvme ssd.
Look f r a 4tb unit.
As to performance, you can buy high sequential performance as measured by benchmarks, but the reality is that you can't tell the difference in actual use. Most work is small random at low queue depths.
