I have a wd 1.5 saat drive that is constantly asking me to reformat the drive. Is there a way to bypass this so I can save my data before hand?

You can try using either one of these freeware. I'm not 100% if it'll work since your drive is asking for a format, but it's definitely worth a shot. Let me know how it goes.

Use it to start the computer and access your drive. You can then copy any or all the files on the drive. The software includes a utility to view and open files (file manager).
