Firstly, thanks Tomshardware and its forum, for its patience and help. Because of you all, I can build my PC without worries and full productivity and enjoyment.

I work full-time from my home office, so I'll be using it for everything: from word processing, graphic designing, video editing, to current-generation gaming (but no plans yet for overclocking)

My pc will be on 16 hours every day, switching it off every night.

My budget is not higher than $3,000, excepting if absolutely necessary for PC's life (I prefer longer life, instead of buying upgrades in the future).

Please review and critique it. All suggestions are highly valued, since I made big mistakes with my previous build plan. Here are my specs:

Main questions I couldn't find answers for:

1: For my HDD, should I get 256gb Sandisk + 4tb Sata III Hard Drive Combo (Combo Drive), or the 512GB ADATA SP900 SSD + 4TB SATA III Hard Drive Combo [+186] (Combo Drive)? I need to know their comparison of quality, not just the amount of gigabytes.

2: Is it too much energy, heat, space to have Vigor iSURF II Hard Disk Drive Cooling System [+21] (3 x Systems [+42])? If yes, would it damage my computer?

3: Are these fans good quality: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler - Extreme Cooling Performance (Dual Standard 120MM Fans (Push-Pull) [+8])? I read to be cautious when building anything with the word "standard".

4: Can I use 32GB (4GBx8) DDR4/2400MHz Quad Channel Memory (ADATA XPG Z1)?

5: 4gbx8 or 8gbx4, for longer life?

Okay so I would definitely be looking at actually building your own. It's really easy, gives you the actual full warranty, saves you money, and gives you higher quality parts and more options.

Like reading through this list, a lot of this stuff is just crap no one will need or every use. And especially benefit from.

Like the useless water cooler, "Cooler Master Thermal Fusion 400 Extreme Performance CPU" as if they made a ground breaking discovery in the realm of thermal compound. Thermal compound is thermal compound and it likely always will be the same crap. I just think they're really trying to upsell you on stuff you don't need like the fan controller. The fan controller just becomes a pain in the ass for you. Let your motherboard do the controlling with properly placed and monitored temperature sensors which are already built into almost every component. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that the 980 Ti that they are going to put in the build is a reference card. Meaning it's completely stock. Meaning x2 that it won't likely OC high, might get a bit noisy, and it's basically like buying a base model of a card. It's just meh..

Here is a build close to that: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GDzqzy

The build I just linked has a better processor, motherboard, storage setup, CPU cooler (a lot better), faster memory, "non-base model" GPU cooler, much much longer warranties, and a few more things but if you don't get the idea yet then I don't think you will be any time soon 😛

If you don't feel comfortable building it yourself.. That's fine. Just go to a trusted computer store, and then get them to build it. They won't charge you much. I think NCIX does it for like $50.

Hope that helped :)
