Finally completed my first build, what do you guys think? Will this be able to handle a big gaming load?

- ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
- SAPPHIRE 100351SR Radeon HD 7970 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card OC with Boost
- Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics
- Western Digital WD Black 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
- CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model
- CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
- Corsair 800w PSU.

Solution
PSU: If Corsair, look for HX or AX, not the cheapest one.

Cooler: H100i is better than H100. Why not fan cooled, by Phanteks or Noctua?

SSD: Where is it? At that price you really should get one.

Case: ??

Everything else is good.
CPU / MB / GPU - Good.

HD - IMHO the only "good" choice from WD is the Black you are looking at, however you have a "high end" setup going here. Consider adding an SSD as a boot drive. Maybe a Samsung 840 with Seagate 1TB...

MEM - Tall heat spreaders aren't needed, but these modules are fine. DDR3-1866 1.5v CL9, right?

Cooler - If you want liquid cooling for the "cool factor" then fine, otherwise the H100 won't do any better than a good air cooler at half the cost.

PSU - 800w is a bit much... If you are planning on adding a second HD 7970 down the road, then pull a 750w / 850w. Single GPU => 550w / 650w. Stick with Antec, Corsair, XFX or Seasonic.

Enjoy that build!

Well i get paid friday which is when my parts arrive and was going to get a SSD to put my OS on.
The case i ordered is a Corsair 600T.
Not sure of the PSU model # but the price was $130.00
Would you recommend the H100i as a cooling system?? Or do you prefer fans?

Price-to-performance ratio.... The H100i will cool better than the H100, however both of these coolers will not outperform a good air cooler for a fraction of the price.

I'd look at the Phanteks PH-TC14PE ($85-90) and Noctua NH D14 ($75-90) They perform about the same as a H100i in terms of cooling, but the air cooling fans are much quieter than the H100i fans. Many people do replace their H100i fans to make it quieter, but that probably adds at least $20.
