Please review my Gaming PC build

It's been about 10 years since I've last built a PC :(, but finally in a position where I can do it again. I've done some research, and settled on the following build which will hopefully provide a lightning fast PC with great gaming capability. I'd like to use it for VR as well eventually. I'm just concerned that I may be getting a part that's not compatible with another part, or just doesn't make sense to get those two parts together. I'm a little concerned if the power supply will work well with the other components, if motherboard works well with processor, or if one of the parts is a bottleneck on the other. (My friend is insistent I get an Intel processor, but the reviews on this AMD seem positive) Or, if there's anything else of concern that stands out, please let me know. I really appreciate it!

I will also modify that list a little, the case that's listed there is a j22, the one I'm looking at is Thermaltake j21, it's on Amazon.

This costs slightly more but provides way more bang for the buck.
- Faster GPU
- 144hz monitor with Freesync
- Far superior quality PSU
- Double the RAM and Dual Channel
- Larger SSD
- Cheaper Windows license (although you'll have to download the ISO from MS and make your own flash drive installer, it's easy to do)

Thank you for the feedback! So it seems you think my motherboard and CPU choices are fine, but see some room for improvement with the graphics card, PSU and memory. I honestly thought that I wouldn't get the same performance with an RX580 as the 1060 3gb OC, but I guess I was wrong about that!

The RX 580 is inbetween the GTX 1060 3GB and GTX 1060 6GB. Very close to the 6GB model. The added speed of the RX 580 on average and 8GB VRAM. Gives it a distinct advantage over the GTX 1060 3GB.

The motherboards good if you need WiFi. Otherwise you can spend less.
