Hey guys. I have NO clue whatsoever on what motherboard to choose. Neither do I have any clue what to look for in a motherboard.

Here is the components so far:

Intel Core i5 2500K
8 GB 1600 MHz Kingston HyperX
1024MB Radeon HD 6950
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev2 multi
Inside a Antec Three Hundred

Or just go here and see for yourself:

If you click the list where it says "Bundkort" (which translates to "Motherboard") you can see what motherboards I have to choose between.

Please give me some advice on what to choose.

Thanks a lot!
Martin

MOBO - If you plan to OC the i5-2500K ~4.5GHz+ then ASUS P8P67 PRO and P8Z68-V PRO are excellent MOBOs, and I assume you want to OC.

GPU - IF you prefer AMD/ATI then look at the XFX with Lifetime Warranties.

RAM - The G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM 2x4GB sets are very good. I'm not sure which Kingston HyperX sets you're looking at nor where you're located/buying. I noted Danish from the link.

HSF - I prefer the Cooler Master 212+ or Thermaltake Frio.

Rather than having someone build it, why not cherry pick what you want and build it yourself?

With the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processors like the Intel Core i5-2500K you want to make sure that you are using memory that is rated at 1.5v. Most of the Kingston HyperX is 1.65v so try to make sure that the memory that you get isn't going to damage your processor and void your warranty.

Would the ASUS P8Z68-V LX DDR3 S-1155 be sufficient? It would save me about 100$.

I'll consider building it myself since I am unable to choose different RAM than Kingston HyperX.

If you have no intentions of OC'ing the i5-2500K then sure the ASUS P8Z68-V LX will work, otherwise no it's a basic 4 Phase MOBO.

The ASUS P8P67 PRO (12 + 2 Phase) is about the cheapest known good LGA 1155 for high OC.

If you want to OC and have a good and lowest possible vCore {vCore = Heat} then there's a good correlation between 12 and Higher Phases to Lower vCore. However, every CPU is different especially >4GHz OC.

So:

Intel Core i5 2500K
G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM 2x4GB
1024MB XFX Radeon HD 6950
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
Antec Three Hundred
ASUS P8P67 PRO eller P8Z68-V PRO
1TB Samsung F3 Spinpoint 7200 RMP 32MB SATA2

Would you change anything if it had to be at about same price?

And thanks a lot for the help!

Essentially that all looks fine.

I would look at the following, but what you have is fine:

HDD(s) - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
CASE - CM RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Advanced
HSF -Thermaltake Frio
PSU - Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 or CMPSU-750HX ; assuming (1) HD 6950
PSU - CORSAIR HX1050 1050W ; assuming (2) HD 6950 in Crossfire
