Nothing good for 100-120 really. 140 is where it starts. Amazon sells the GA Z77X-UD3H for 140. That's what I bought for my i5 3570K and I run BF3 on ultra.

Depends on which i5 processor you have, and which socket it uses.

I have a 1155 socket i5 3570K. Its a 3rd Gen and costs 220 $ but thr GA Z77X-UD3H does not support 4th gens which just came out. Honestly I would go with 3rd gens

Socket LGA 1150 is the newest, for (i3, i5 or i7)-4XXX processors. (Haswell)
Socket LGA 1155 is for the previous generations of i3, i5 and i7 processors. (Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge)

If you go with the previous generations, you get cheaper prices, but (slightly) less performance.
If you go with the most recent generation, Haswell, you get the highest performance, but for a higher cost.

The choice of socket also has an impact on the motherboard's price, not only on the price of the CPU.

The i5-3570K that Upgrader011 previously suggested is a good idea.
That processor uses the LGA 1155 socket, so you would couple it with this motherboard:

Between the 1155 and 1150 there's not a big advantage for performance. But if performance is vital to everything, you should go with the 1150 socket. Remember both the motherboard and CPU must be 1150

Yes an i5 will be a great upgrade. Its threading is a lot better but remember to buy the 3570K version. Not the 3570. The ones with K at the end means they're unlocked so you can overclock them when you need to
