hi guys and gals,im new to the forum but not a rookie when it comes to building computers.im so pissed right now cuz i thought amd could stand up with any gpu. i think not. here is my situation-i have a amd 8370fx processor, msi 970a g43 mobo,8 gigs patriot 1600mhz,650watt thermaltake smart series psu,and a 120mm thermaltake water2.0. i just bought a msi gtx 960 graphics card..i noticed while playing any game i have my cpu now reaches up to 79c! FTW! Is my 8370fx being bottlenecked by the gtx 960? i take out the graphics card, put in my old 650ti boost 1 gig memory and bam temps while gaming are 50c to 55c.WTF! ok so i put in my old 4130fx with the 960 and bam temps are 77c! OMG......put the 650ti boost in with the 4130fx and temps are like 45c to 50c.unfreaking believeable.question, how is that possible? no overclocking done on both cpus.my enrmax ostrog case is open with a fan blowing in the inside.plus,i've started on a new build too.i have a fractal design r5 case with a msi 970 gaming mobo installed in the case and im wondering should i take the mobo and graphics card back or should i just finish the build and try again with the new motherboard? if it comes down to returning it,i will be buying the i5 4690k.
