please,will these graphic card works with my old motherboard

hi everyone

please i need your help.

i have old motherboard(asus p5n e-sli),with (pci-e X16).

i want to buy graphic card example:
sapphire R9 270
sapphire R9 270x
sapphire 7870

But they require (pci-e **3.0** X16)

on my motherboard i have (pci-e X16)only,NOT pci-e 3.0 X 16

please will these graphic card work on my motherboard(i don't want to have any error please).

the graphic card i have now is old one,it is (sapphire Vapor-x HD 5770),and works fine,but now it is too old.

i like to play games(single player),the one i have:
crysis,crysis warhead,crysis2,crysis3,battlefield3,far cry1,2,3,all of call of duty games(except call of duty ghost),and i have old games as well:call of duty 1,2,3,command and conquer renegade,unreal tournament2,fronlines fuel of war.

The card will work but your problem will be feeding the card DDR 2 is going to bottleneck the GPU

Yes they will work I was running a pci-e 2.0 card on 1.0 the performance will decrease but slightly. What is your power supply and how much wattage it has? And if your rpocessor is old those card will be bottleneck.

pfunkmd: do you recommend me to upgrade the motherboard to be able to use this graphic card.

goku1234567890:the power supply i have is (antec 750 watts,earthwatts EA750),i don't know the wattage.
the processor i have is (Quad core Q6600),4GB memory(i can upgrade the memory to maximum 8GB),windows7 64 bit home premium.

Like I said the performance decrease will not effect much and you then you have to buy a LGA 775 socket motherboard cause you have Core 2 Quad better save that money for a whole new build cause Core 2 Quad's are on top the socket 775 list. If you want to buy a new motherboard then buy 1105 socket or better but then you won't be able to use Core 2 Quad in it then you have buy a Core i5 or Core i3 atleast. Then you have to buy a DDR3 Ram's but you can use your current hard disk and dvd rom's in it.

Upgrading the motherboard will only be a good option if you do the ram and the cpu. I would get the card and if you are happy great if not upgrade. I tried to run newer games with 4b of ddr3 and I had problems you have ddr2 so on newer games it may be a problem. Give it a shot see how it performs if it works great if not upgrade ddr 2 is cheap enough.

If you have the budget sure upgrade motherboard, Ram, processor and buy one of those cards you will definitely see the difference only if you a buy a Quad Core i5 cause some of them are Dual core.
