Plexi glass mod?

I realized the reason why my computers temps go down so low with case off was due to my massive vacuum cleaner fan on my cpu not getting fresh enough air.
Im planning on taking a 92mm(fan sized) size square box of plexi glass and slapping it nearly directly on the fan, then taking a 92mm case fan and keeping it on the end to suck air into the "cube o' doom".
Anyone think it would be better, my temps are around 41c idle right now as i type.

dude just pop a 120mm fan above your cpu in your side panel.. when i was on air cooling it dropped my temps a good 5*C

yea this is getting annoying. basically i don't like my temps above 42c. So i think i'm gonna go water cooling.
If i leave my window open(michigan winter) I get 35-36c under halfway load.

heh, thats the rout i ended up going once i was satisfied with my temps but not with the noise (i was using a dual-fan psu, 2x 80mm tornados, 1x 120mm generic 54db 108cfm, vantec aeroflow, thermaltake crystal orb.. yeah it was loud).
