A name that used to crop up when talking about elite optical products years ago has made a comeback! Plextor has come out of the woodwork, announcing a new lineup of optical drives after lying low for a while.

I had a SCSI Plextor CD burner 'back in the day' that I LOVED. Fortunately, I never had the displeasure of messing with their 're-badged' products. I truly hope these will be 'real' Plextor products. If so, it makes me wonder if they'll produce a working, reliable BD drive for the PC.

The blu-ray drive looks to be from lite-on.
