I just ordered the Plextor M8Pe M.2 512gb version off Newegg for $230 after promo code and free S/H. Has anyone used it yet? I got this one because I do a lot of file transferring and some modern gaming that can take advantage of high speed drives for better load time not that SATA 3.0 can't do them. There was one without a heat sink for $230, but since I do long file transfers sometime I didn't want to take a chance of any heat issue. Does it matter when doing long file transfers? I read that if you're not doing much of it them I could of gotten the non-heat sink version. They also had an Intel M.2 selling for $189, but it was a TLC version and I prefer MLC over TLC because they tend to last longer and have less errors when rewriing data. Does that make a major difference? I don't like chancing my data so I chose the MLC drive. Yes, the new Samsung 960 M.2 is coming out, but when looking at the price and speed it's performance per dollar didn't seem to be a great value and that why I picked the Plextor. If anyone had one and can give me some feedback I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

I just read that today and it did help. The thing some people say is that once the firmware update comes out it should perform better and be more compatible with more programs. I've no issues with it so far for my needs.

Thx for the info and have a great day.
