Plextor Refurbished

Has anyone bought a Plextor rewriter refurbished from the Plextor website? If they have how was it? Any problems? I am looking at a 12/10/32 for $147.00. How does that sound? Any info would be appreciated.

That's not bad, and it would be reliable, but have you considered Teac? I just bought a 12/10/32 Teac locally for $133. You could find it cheaper on Pricewatch. Teac makes the controller for both drives, I believe. At any rate, they're basically the same drive, just different retail package. And the Teac actually has a couple more features and is faster in almost all aspects.
Just a thought.

For that much Cash, you should be able to buy an OEM version. Brand new, without the box.
Do a search on <A HREF="http://www.pricewatch.com" target="_new">http://www.pricewatch.com</A> for 'Plextor 12x10x32'. You'll probably pay $6 top of that for s/h though...
