The scheduled forum maintenance has now been completed. If you spot any issues, please report them here in this thread. Thank you!
GPU: GEFORCE RTX 2060Need a little more info. Some cards the fans only come on when they need to (depending on curve).
What GPU have you got? Which motherboard and power supply?
Doesn't the 2060 need an 8-pin, not a 6-pin?GPU: GEFORCE RTX 2060
POWER SUPPLY: MASTERWATT 550 BRONZE
MOTHERBOARD:B450-A PRO MAX
Ye man soz i wrote 6 pin but i ment 8 pin.... i cant <Mod Edit> count. But either way the fans aint spinning.Doesn't the 2060 need an 8-pin, not a 6-pin?
wait but either way because the graphics card is working i dont have to plug the 8pin in right?Doesn't the 2060 need an 8-pin, not a 6-pin?
but i dont get this when i plug it in IT STOPS WORKINGYes... you really do need to plug it in. Your board won't be able to supply enough power when the card is under load.
What version is it. 2060 Gigabyte Windforce? Asus Strix?but i dont get this when i plug it in IT STOPS WORKING
your right in both ends. i havnt gotten display yet or the fans arnt spinning when i put the 8pin on. but if thats normal for it not to spin with the 8 pin on then ig ill keep it onBy stop working, you mean the fans or the display?
Did you at any moment have a display in the monitor?
If you had display (of course it would be with the 8pin connected) and the fans weren't spinning, it's not a problem as most GPUs have a fan stop feature, which stops the fan up to a certain temperature threshold.

wait sorry if you saw my other message that was wrong i have my exact graphics card here https://pangoly.com/en/review/gigabyte-gv-n2060oc-6gd-rev-2-0GEFORCE RTX 2060 is a generic chipset for the GPU. There are a range of models from different manufacturers (MSI, ASUS, Zota, Palit to name but a few). We are trying to determine exactly which card you have.
well because its my first time i plug my hdmi from my gpu but i get no display.so, from the spec of this card:
"
3D ACTIVE FAN
The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game. It allows gamers to enjoy gameplay in complete silence when the system is running light or idle.
"
GeForce RTX™ 2060 OC 6G (rev. 1.0) Key Features | Graphics Card - GIGABYTE Global
So, when you have the 8-pin plugged in, does you GPU work when you boot?
Have you tried another cable? Are you able to try the display port output?well because its my first time i plug my hdmi from my gpu but i get no display.
no, I don't have a display port. but because my monitor is a bit old it doesn't have an HDMI so I just use an HDMI to DVI cable instead but nothing still shows.Have you tried another cable? Are you able to try the display port output?
ye it is cuz ive been playing ps4 on it till now and used the hdmi to dvi but now i obviously wanna switch to pc.next suggestion - is you monitor set for the DVI input source?
yupWhat power connector are you plugging into the GPU? Is it 6+2 pins?
