PLs should I UPDATE THIS PLS OPEN THREAD

i bought dell laptop 5 days ago it has so many dell programs on it im not deleting them. now in bott corner i got ; DELL UPDATE
2 updates are ready to install
-intel hm77 chipset driver
- dell touchpad driver
should i use this update i dont know the chipset so well pls help if i update this chipset ( dont care about touchpad it is working but if i update chipset it will update and i dont care about it ) what will happen or should i just ignore it ? pc is working fine but idk i dont want to do mistake .(this is my first question in this website hope i will get right answer) thank you . (sorry if i have some mistakes in english)

First, create a restore point. Next, perform the updates. If the system boots up and works fine, you're good to go! If it doesn't boot properly, use the recovery disc and restore from the restore point you created.

i dont have disk to create restor point and is it important to have latest chipset and touchpad drivers ?

and how can i move restore point to disk ? i have usb flash driver but how can i move it ?

Is the system acting up? If not, then you can just ignore the updates, and carry on.

i cant disable this notification. what is chipset driver ? what it will do it will improve gaming or pcs perfomance/speed ?

The chipset driver is a set of tools/files/IDK what to call it that enables the operating system to harness the full advantage of the chipset. The chipset facilitates communication between things like USB ports, the CPU, the Ethernet port(s), and various other things. If you want, you can update the driver(s), but backup your data first.
