Hi, I have been having some trouble with Windows XP lately. I've been looking all over the internet for a solution and keep getting the same things. Basically I turned my computer on the other day and there was no sound, just an annoying beep coming from my tower. I searched the internet for a solution but everyone kept saying to open start and click run, type services and find windows audio. I cannot find it at all. Then I found out there was a problem with my plug and play service. Again, I was told to go into services and find plug and play and double click it. Plug and play is not listed in the services and I really don't know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Run the System File checker... SFC /SCANNOW in the Start\Run\Command with the installation disk in the CD\DVD Rom drive, the system file checker will detect and restore missing or corrupted system files from the installation disk... among them the missing Services and possibly even the audio driver, and if not included in the disc you can download and/or update it.
