Plug and Play router?

Like the title says, do plug and play routers exist? By plug and play, I don't mean like i plug it into an ethernet port of a router then I can use the device as an AP. I literally mean like I plug it into the wall for power and it will create an AP that I can connect to. Thanks.

Still not sure of what you are trying to do, but if you plug a 'router' into the wall, you can connect to it from a PC or laptop. It will provide a WiFi signal.
Can't do much else, but you can connect to it.

Still not sure of what you are trying to do, but if you plug a 'router' into the wall, you can connect to it from a PC or laptop. It will provide a WiFi signal.

Yes. thats what I want to do. id like to plug it into a wall, it will provide internet access for me. whether it is ethernet and I have to plug a device into it, or I plug it into a wall and it itself will act as an access point where I can connect my phone to it or something.

Edit: and yes, if I wanted something like this I can just buy a router. But I would like something portable, for travel. For example, I can be at the airport and if I wanted secure internet access i can plug this certain device in the wall (for power) then i can connect to it whether it's ethernet or Wifi.

If you're at the airport, you probably have a laptop.
If you have a laptop, it has builtin WiFi.
The airport provides free WiFi internet access.
Simply connect to that, via the WiFi apparatus built into the laptop.

Well no shit man. I don't connect to public APs. And you shouldn't too. That's why I want a 'portable' router that will provide my own secure AP.
