plug xbox into pc and output to monitor?

idk if its possible but can i plug my xbox into my computer using an hdmi cable and then have it play on my monitor? ik there are other ways like plugging hdmi into the monitor but mine doesnt have an hdmi port and others say to use vga cable or dvi whatever it is but i dont have an adapter so if its possible can u pls tell me how to do it? thanks

Not really no.
If your monitor supports HDMI, you can just plug your xbox into that.
PCs don't have any video INPUTS though, not by default.
There is hardware that will receive a video signal, but that's meant for streaming/recording gameplay, and not actually playing the game as there will be a slight delay. It's also not cheap.

Solution
XBox One has a pass through feature intended for TV boxes. You could try connecting the Xbox to your monitor and then connect the pc to the Xbox. When you want the pc just switch over to Guide.

My only doubt is if the Xbox pass through introduces lag but you can try it.
