Plugged CPU cable from psu to gpu. Burning smell is coming now from gpu.

Plugged CPU cable from psu to gpu accidentally instead of pcie cable. Burning smell is coming now from gpu. This gpu wasn't 7 'on tha old. Will it be covered under warranty? If not Is it possible to repair ?

How did you turn on your pc if the cpu cable was in the gpu?
What powered the CPU?

Your question made me think that had to have been a second psu trying to power a pc without a pcie hooked OP didn't look at plugs and unfortunately got it wrong. I'd like to hear what the end result was. Any updates OP?

Agree. Not covered.

Must have had to force that connector on for it to fit. Which should have been an indication you were doing something wrong.

Psu have 2 CPU cables. I plugged one to motherboard and other to gpu.

Try to RMA it ,but dont be suprised if they dont accept it back.
