Plugged fan into clrtc now mobo doesn't work

So basically to shorten everything, I plugged a 120mm case fan into the clrtc connector plugged in the molex and powered the system on. The computer started up for a split second then what sounded like zzzt and then I smelled something burning. Is my motherboard fried? The green stand by light turns on but nothing else does. My specs are:
Motherboard: Asus m5a97 le r2.0
Cpu: amd fx 8320e stock cooler no overclock
Graphics card: gigabyte rx 470 oc edition
psu: raidmax 500w
Storage: Seagate 1TB hard drive
