Plugged in, not charging

I just got a brand new gigabyte p35xv6 gaming laptop for college. It was at my front door last night and I have been enjoying it, however the thing just WONT CHARGE. I looked this problem up. I went into my device manager and I went into my battery section and uninstalled the battery programs. When I booted up it started to charge for a couple minutes, then it stopped. What can I do?!

The battery is at 68% and it wont move.

try turning off the laptop. remove the battery and put it back in, make sure the power cord connections are properly connected and also try another power outlet. if none of that works then i agree with the previous post to return for a replacement

My laptop has specific software that is under the Lenovo name, in your case it might be called gigabyte something.
