Jus like I said in the title...I plugged my headphones into the headphone jack on my new desktop and there was a visible static charge...will this damage my pc? I've ran several diagnostics tests and everything appears fine..should I be worried?

Solution
Hello... if everything is working... then NO... Yes it's possible to "discharge your body" static electricity to your Computer devices and computer... and it happens to me when transporting headphones to another location, with socks/shoes over carpet... typically I will touch a grounded metal surface first, to discharge my body, and also the connector on the headphones before plugging in.
