Pretty much what the title says. I don't even know if this is possible or even in the right category. Heres what I want to do. I want to plug my cordless land line phone into my laptops modem. Then I want to setup a VOiP system on the laptop. So when I make a call or someone calls me using the VOiP number. It'll use the modem to use the phone. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, best of luck to the creativity of getting this working.

It makes sense, but is not going to work. Both your laptop' modem and cordless phone are "client" devices. They need a phone exchange to work. You will need additional hardware if you want to use your phone as a client to laptop/computer-based VoIP system. You might as well get skype phone (or MagicJack-sort of device)
