Plugging multiple USB extension cables

Just a quick question, but would there be speed loss if you were to connect a USB 3.0 male to female extension cable into another one?

That really depends on the quality of the cables (how well they are shielded), quality of the connectors on the cable, the overall length of the cable and what possible external noise sources the cable runs past. USB 3.0 operates at a very high frequency and is thus more susceptible to signal loss and external noise sources.

think up to around 5m is ok then need active repeating cables

though you might lose a little havent done it in years so cant really remember
