First thing first. I am not a hardcore gamer but i do like playing games occasionly , 2nd i m in budget (around 60k Indian rupees). i want to build a future proof and reliable system

(a). Since z170 supports ddr3 ram too.so,i would buy ddr3 now.
(might buy ddr4 in future when price are slashed)

(b). I5 4690 is cost me almost same as faster skylake i5 6600.

(c).so i5 4460 pair with gtx 970 gpu best fit in my budget. but not sounds future proof,i am concerned about .

(d).However if i buy i5 6600 with decent mb. I only left with ₹16000 ( that is enough for gtx 960).
Or i can buy gtx970 later near Christmas.

As you know there is significant difference between 4460 and 6600.
( It is always better to have extra)

Thanks in advance for your kind suggestions.

Solution
I5-6600 is obviously the better CPU, but I'd take a 4460 and 970 over the 6600 and a 960. Also, you will want DDR3L RAM, and make sure your motherboard states it supports DDR3L.

yup , I will keep that in mind. Moreover I going to buy all pc parts from a local shop.thus, they will check compatibility.(price are 10-15% less as compare to online stores)

Anyways thanks

If the difference between the i5-6600k and i5-4690k is >$20 (not sure what that means for your currency) for you, I'd say stick with the older one. I wouldn't worry about an i5 and 'future proofing'. Honestly, there really aren't any modern games that are bottlenecked by the current (4th or 6th gen) Intels. Even with the 970, which is spectacular, you are probably going to run into limitations with that than you would even with a non-overclockable modern i5.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by 'decent motherboard', but honestly, don't spend too much. Everyone gets a motherboard for way too much. Just get something basic and from a good brand that fits your needs (overclockability, ram slots, pcie slots, etc.)
