Hi all, i am about to buy my self a new graphic card but i cant decide which one.

XFX GeForce PCX 9500GT 512MB (64-BITS) DDRII

OR

XFX GeForce PCX 9400GT 1GB (128-BITS) DDRII

Both of them cost the same in my country plz tell me which one's performance is better.

If your looking for a gaming card, neither will provide a good experience. The 9500GT is better then the 9400GT, but that 9500GT is horribly choked for memory bandwidth. If your looking for a gaming card, try to find a 9600 or better. If you just need something basic or just for viewing video, get whichever is cheaper.

dude 9500GT is 512 mb n 64 bits n costs same as 9400GT 1 GB n 128 bits how could 9500 be better its half the memory n bits ???

+ S.T.A.L.K.E.R is included and the card has a good custom cooling fan + :)

Because there is more to a chip then just the memory. For example, the 9500GT has twice as many shaders as the 9400GT. As I said, the 9500GT is better then the 9400GT, I was talking about the chip, not the card. As I said, neither will provide a good gaming experience.

As for which is better, XFX would be the answer. I don't know about foreign countries, but over here they offer double lifetime warranty. And for those who can't read, don't bother linking/talking about newegg, he doesn't live in this country.

How can we know from what country is he?

lol name searcher 😛 😛 can u also tell where i m from 😛 :pt1cable:

guyz i cant afford 9600GT its either 9400 GT or 9500GT n im from a place u guyz would think im a terrorist lol im from pakistan 😀 n both of them costs PKR 5200.
so tell me which one to buy n will i be able to play games smoothly or they will lagg?

Your asking about getting a 16 stream processor (SP) card with "fast" 128bit DDR2 memory, or a 32SP card with even slower 64bit DDR2 memory. My 8800GS can handle many games, but it has 96SP and a 192bit memory bus. The cards you are looking at are simply to slow to handle gaming. You would be better off saving up more money and getting something better then wasting your time with this.

BTW, I often talk with a gentlemen from Iran on this forum. The love of technology can bring us together while our dictators work on tearing us apart.
