Plz suggest perfect solution

Hi,
I have Sabertooth X79 Motherboard and i7 K4930 on it with 32GB 1866ghz Ram and Gtx 760 2GB Video Card and OS is on Samsung 850 pro SSD.
when i tried to do video edit of 4k footage for some time it runs smothly but after some time preview start freezing even in 1/4 quality. Can u guys tell me why this happen.
is it Gtx 760, which is not capable of 4k edit or some other reason?
if u guys suggest Video Card upgrade, then which one?
1070 8GB or 970 4GB
but i heard 1070 is not compatible with Premiere pro CC, is it right?

I am not an editing person, but your machine sounds more than enough, but the GPU does sound a bit weak, since it only has the 2GB ram. My non expert opinion would be GPU but I am sure there are others here who will know more.
Also, you do use an SSD right?

Yes OS is on Samsung 850 pro SSD

If you have a good friend with a better GPU, and without you spending any money, you maybe able to pursuade him to lend you his GPU for a few hours. I'm all for trying the cheapest option before making the plunge.
