Hello,

I first tried writing Stefan Strack about this matter, but the mail
daemon on vanderbuilt.edu keeps telling me that the given address is
unregistered on this host.
It was just recently that I got addicted to CoreWar, which means that
I am neither a veteran nor do I posses any good skill that is to be
mentioned. But I've spend the last days absorbing howtos and source
code of other players^^ Well..that might not interest you at all, so
here comes my request: So far I am no official developer in Debian, but
since I'm using this operating system since quite some time and I've
also dug into the manuals concerning official developing and package
maintaining, I see fit for taking the next step. But I won't conduct
this matter any further with you not being interested in the effort of
joining pMars to the Debian pool, which I hope is not the case(;

Looking forward to your answer,
Alain M. Lafon.

Alain - I've discussed with RMS (of the GNU project) to include pMars
in GNU. He has given tentative permission. I'd be the maintainer but
maybe you'd like to do it? Making pMars part of Debian has always been
part of this plan. Please contact me and we can proceed. await @

It would be nice to see pMars in Debian. This should be possible
without it formally becoming part of GNU (and the signing over of
copyright that that would entail).

Although pMars is the standard there are quicker implementations
(fmars, exmars, qmars, exhaust ... Michal, Martin, Joonas) but they
lack the necessary GUI's. It would be useful if a pMars distribution
had sufficient supporting documentation for users to find these and the
rest of corewar (e.g. the Koenigstuhl).
