PN5-D Q6600 OVERCLOCKING

I have tried overclocking this setup from the bios with good known settings. Everytime windows loads (7 64 bit Home) I get to the desktop and Nvidia or Ntune goes to load my higher GPU fan speeds (GTX 260 SLI) and the computer freezes and blackscreens.

Does Ntune and or there fan speeds profile conflict with overclocking from the bios?

I'm sorry this is my very first post ever. I am only trying to get to 3.0 and the Motherboard is a P5N-d (not PN5-D) . If you have any ideas why this is happening please let me know....thanks
