Hi! I'm a computer science student at a computer school. I enrolled in a subject called current trends in IT. I thought I was gonna learn more about software development but I ended up learning pneumatics.

Do IT/CS students need to learn pneumatics? I think it's very far from being IT/CS.

Pneumatics and hydraulics are used in manufacturing and robotics. Both are driven by computer controllers. The more you know about possible applications of computers, the better prepared you will be for working in the real world.

Here's a hint: COLLEGE ISN'T THE REAL WORLD! Enjoy it while you can, but learn as much as you can and be prepared to make yourself as useful as possible to a company that is seeking to make money off the work you do.
