Yup. Definitely a nice step up from your current 770. It's about the same now days as the 1660 super or 1660ti. How did you get it free? That's a good deal. I just paid 230 for a 1660 super that is close to the 1070.
Good deal. Then yes that card will be a massive upgrade for you. I think I've read a 1060 6gb is about 2x better than a 2gb 770. And the 1070 is a step above that level. So you're basically going up 3 or 4 tiers. I imagine that card should hold you a year or two, which will probably give you plenty of time to save up for your next card.
How much ram are you getting btw? I'm going to guess 16? As that's a good spot. The 3600 should be able to push that card pretty well. Especially with a little overclocking. Though you might need to get a slightly better cooler.

Yes the 1070 is a nice jump over 770 it is similar to 1660 ti performance it can also run 2k on decent frame rates

But what i suggest in your build is that you don't need x570 motherboard you can save money by getting b450

The funny thing that i saw a channel called tech yes city he tried an a320 motherboard with ryzen 5 3600 and it give more frame rates than x570 motherboard
