PNY Geforce GTX 750 concern

I helped my friend install his geforce gtx 750 from PNY and it does not have a PCI-E power slot. But, the power supply he has is a Corsair CX 750M. Is it possible to run this card without needing any sort of PCI-E connection as the power supply will give it enough power on the 12v rail?

the GTX750 draws around 55watts which is less than the 75watt maximum supplied by the PCI-E 1.0 or better slot, as such it doesn't require an extra power line.
