I have built my rig which consists of;
ASUS Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard
Corsair Vengance LP Ram (1x8GB)
Intel i5 Quad Core 3.4GHz
256Gb SanDisk SSD
500 GB Samsung HDD
CM M2 Silent Pro 1000w PSU
CM HAF 932 Advanced

The main descion that i have left is what graphics card to buy/ graphics cards because of my budget going up to £300 pounds i am not sure which card is more beneficial;

2x Asus Radeon R7 260X (runs 7000MHz)
or
1x PNY GeForce GTX 770 Overclocked (Runs 7200MHz)

here are the links for the specs

I myself have a GTX 770. Runs cool and fast. I wouldn't go with 2 260X's because you have to deal with micro stuttering and also crossfire isn't well optimized right now. Is this for gaming by the way? Also if you get 2 graphics cards you need good cooling.

Where performance may be similar, one card is always preferable to two. Not all games will run in multi-card configurations, which means much of the time, you will be operating with no more power than a single card. You've also got issues like microstuttering, which can considerably affect the playability of a game.

I would choose the GTX 770 over 2x 260X's. Mainly as they both will give the same performance except the 770 would run cooler, use less power, and dual GPUs are always inferior to single as you would have less problems or compatibility issues with games that don't support SLI/CFx

I know this thread is a little old but I would like to point out that an r9 saphire 280x toxic would destroy pretty much any 770, I have seen some go for £250, but if you can save a little more you could wait till 8xx comes out and get a nice 780, which beats any 280x.

I ended up getting a GeForce GTX 770 EVGA Classified Superclocked edition which is running faster and better than any standard 900 series card
