Point of PSU cover?

My case came with a PSU cover. What is the point of a psu cover? I have a fully modular psu so hiding cables isn't a problem. Is their any special reason I should put it back in? Wouldn't it make the psu heat up and block air flow?
Thanks.

It's there for looks. Modular or not I personally think a big square block with any wires hanging out of it visible through the case window looks like crud by comparison, just a personal preference/observation. The psu draws air through the bottom provided you didn't mount it upside down. This case has 2 bottom dust filters, one specifically for the psu. If you mount 2 140mm fans in the front of the case (being dropped a bit lower than the stock 200mm intake) some of the air will make it past the hard drive cages and through the open end of the psu cover though it's not really needed. Mine is covering my psu and also my led lighting controller, neither of which I care to see through the window. I think it makes the interior look cleaner...
What case?
It wont block airflow, as they intake air from the bottom of the case and exhaust out the back of the unit, the air never enters or is drawn from the case itself.
The covers are generally there for hiding cables, and for looks. If you dont care about that, you can leave it off.

Rather than leaving it flat black I covered mine with carbon fiber wrap. It wasn't the deciding factor for me with this case but it was a nice perk in my opinion.
