pointer speed keeps speeding up

My mouse pointer speed keeps speeding up randomly. when I am doing something or playing a game the speed will just go up for no reason. not sure how to fix it. need help. it will just randomly happen sometimes its will be days most of the time it is a few mins or hours then it speeds up. need help

What mouse? Some mice have a small button on the mouse and people hit it without knowing. There used to be a mouse acceleration in the mouse settings that would change it dynamically, might be something like that.

I got a madcatz rat 7 the dpi setting is in the middle so by the scroll wheel I know if I pressed it or not by the lights that tell me what level it is on it has been on 3 the whole time. It is a system problem because when I am using my drawing tablet it will happen randomly too. restarting fixes it for a while but keeps happening.

I have a madcatz rat 7 and I just did a system restore and the cursor is still moving around really weird. Because the cursor for when I am using my drawing tablet is not going to where I want it to go and the speed of the mouse is still fast I didn't change the settings on my mouse and I am still having this problem.
