Hello everyone
I'm here asking this question because I'm stuck in a decision making situation and I need your help.
I got 2 systems, a costume HP Z800 with 2x X5670 @ 3.3 GHz & 48 GB DDR3-1333 & a stocked SSD AND a 5820K @4.5GHz on a X99 Strix & 16GB DDR4 2400 & NVMe m.2 .
one of my systems are going to be my developing machine (oh I forgot, I'm a developer) which will have docker containers and vms and other stuff while the other is going to be my DAW system (yeah I'm a composer also). where my tracks mostly got 10-50 different lines (double or triple at least for mixing) and heavily effected with plugins on each line.
So, help me choose which of these systems should I use for my developing stuff and which as my DAW.
PS. My audio interface can take lower buffer size (32) on X99 where this value is 144 on my Z800. (lower buffer size means lower delay)
PS. I'm searching every site and forum for similar situations and researching for it but still cant decide.
Thanks
