I do not have the skills to build a computer. I have searched other companies to build a computer and www.polywell.com has the best prices for my needs. I encode video, photos, burn DVD's/CD's, play games, internet, database, watch DVD's, and use Microsoft Office software. For $2,238 I can get this set up. Any suggestion on parts/hardware I should change? If I could get someone to help me build this would I save any money? Am I missing anything else (I am buying a monitor too)?

Yes, you could save money Big time!

All of the components are quite nice, but I've never heard of Polywell as a mb/Nforce maker, so am unsure of their products...)

To save yourself what could easily be several hundred dollars total, I'd knock the processor down a notch or two to an Opty 175 or an X2 4400 or 4600+...buying the absolute top speed of an X2 available is nice, but unnescessary, and the higher speed processor is marginally faster, and not in gaming, the extra 1 frame/sec is not a factor...

Unless you are a serious Audiophile junkie, you can also typcially just use the onboard 7.1 solution that comes with most NF4 boards, and ditch the SB Audigy card, which should save at least $120.

FYI, if you could find someone to assemble it for you locally, that equivalent (or better, using a name brand mb) system could be built for $1400-$1500, or less...

I just hate to see you pay THEM $800-$900 for a simple assembly, but, ...that's capitolism!

(If you lived in Nebraska, I'd build it for ya for free...fun stuff, and only takes about two hours, including Windows install!)
