2x16gb cl15 3600mhz Gskill trident z neo
Ryzen 9 3950x
Power color red devil 6900xt
Power supply 1300w evga p+

Just got a new 6900xt replaced my rtx 2080 getting worse fps on 1080p on every single game on the same settings used DDU and uninstalled old nividia drivers no nividia files left on the computer iv checked bios up to date chipset drivers up to date everything should be in check but still bad performance compared to my 2080 also the 6900xt has coil whine heard that is common on next gen high wattage cards has gotten quiter the past week but for example playing bf5 getting worse fps on the same settings card is not beimg fully utilized and clock speeds utilization and power consumption is all over the place is it because of 1080p or any other ideas would be much appreciated

Can you run userbenchmark and share the public link to the results.

Although I would not expect your performance to be worse in all games, a few maybe. I could believe seeing little gain. At 1080p you could have cpu limited or close to it with the 2080. A 6900XT is seriously overkill for 1080p, it’s going to be cpu limited most of the time. It is better suited to 1440p and above.

Yes, 1080p is over kill for 6900xt, i recently just picked up a 6900xt from a 1080ti and saw similar things, what i noticed in my case was amds software was causing my issues, after ddu and installing the driver itself, it fixed alot of my issues, bf2042 for example ran at 90fps on 1440 with a 5800x at 4.7 after ddu and driver only install, 150plus depending on maps, i noticed amds software is packed with stuff a day to day user wont need, also my card never got fully utilized after the reinstall it sits at 99% hopefully this ramble helps
