Poor graphics quality after alt tabbing?

Sometimes when i play games and have to wait for something I usually alt tab and just browse the internet. But when I go back to my game, the graphics go bad. This happens to every game I play on PC.

3.1 Ghz Duo Core
4GB GDDR2 Ram
