Question Poor overclocking with ram Kingston.

Hello, I made this query on a page of my country and they ignored me, I do not know if due to ignorance or why they were not interested, the issue is that I have a RAM memory Kingston DDR4 2400 mhz and if I overclocking 2666 (the most basic possible) the AIDA64 program gives me an error when I do a stress test, could it be that this memory that I touch is bad for overcloking or is it something common in the generic Kingston? I ask why there are other generic ram of other brands that rise from 2400 to 3000 easily.

I clarify that I have a Ryzen 1600 and I want to do oc to the memory to get the juice a little since I have motherboard A320.

2400 rated memory will very very rarely OC to 3000mhz.

Hello, I have a generic G.Skill and it goes up from 2400 to 3000 without problem, even 3200

Depends on who manufactured the chips. Some don't OC as well as others:
-may need more voltage
-timing adjustments
-poor OC potential

Look up Ryzen Dram Calculator, it should be able to identify the die being used.

Ram chips are binned.
The better ones are used in kits that run at higher speeds and can be sold for more.

Sometimes you get lucky with an overclock, but do not count on it.
