I have the EVGA RTX 3060 XC, and I just got a new monitor thats 2560x1440, 60hz-165hz with 1ms response time. Ever since I got the monitor, I've been having frame rates drop below 60. My drivers are updated, and I've screwed with some settings in the nvidia control panel. My old monitor was a 1920x1080 with 5ms at 60hz, and I would have full frames all around. I struggle to pass 60fps on games like "Stormworks" and "Survive The Nights". I contacted Pixio and they said it would be with the GPU. Is there some setting I have to change or some driver I have to install? Even setting the graphics to the lowest settings don't help.

Edit: I'm up to date on the driver's, and I've screwed around with the control panel. No luck.

My specs are
10th gen I7
16gb RAM
EVGA RTX 3060 XC 12gb Vram

I7- 10700f 8 core
16gb RAM
ASRock B560M Steel legend
EVGA RTX 3060 xc 12gb vram

My monitor has a DP 1.2 and HDMI ports. Do the cables matter much for performance?
