Things not in PCPartPicker:

  • PSU Corsair VS450w
GPU is OC edition(the one with dual DVI ports)
HDD exact model is ST3500630NS(it rather vibrates a LOT)
    Monitor exact model is E960Sw
    Fans are blue not green

To start, my budget will be around 140-180 U$ per month and will be doing this upgrade for 3 months. So that's 420-540 in total.

What upgrades do you guys think I need?
I'm still about to order the GPU. Will probably do it on the 5th of July. This will be deducted on my total budget.

I wanted to buy the AMD Athlon X4 750K but I was told that in my area it's already phased out. And I don't want to order it somewhere else and have to shoulder the shipping cost.

After I get the GPU should I stick in another RAM? Or sell this and buy a dual channel kit? If so, which ones should I get?

Should I sell my 500GB HDD and get a WD 1TB Blue/Black? The vibration annoys me.

Should I get a Samsung EVO 120GB? It's about 115U$ here and I read somewhere that the SSD companies will slash their prices soonish? So should I just wait for that?

Should I be satisfied with my case or sell this and get a new one? It's still a month old though. My PSU is non-modular and the cable management space on the N200 is really tight. I'm compressing some cables, should I be worried about that? I'm planning to get some individually sleeved bitfenix or silverstone extension cables but as I've said, it's so tight back there.

I'm not really sure how to OC but I really like the looks of the H100i cooler. Should I consider that too?

Or what do you think I should sell in my set to get a better gaming performance?

Sorry for the LONG list of questions.

Also please indicate the priorities. Like RAM -> HDD -> SSD -> Cooler.

I have some more questions later on but this will be it for now. :)

Thank you so much.
Adrian

update: just to let you guys know, my KB and mouse are generics. If we can squeeze some good quality peripherals that would be awesome. Preferably a back-lit KB.

well this seems nice as your budget is less. Just go for A8-6600K and try to get 8GB ram thats it..... yes buy a WD black.dont even think of blue. and dont buy h100i. save money and get h60. dont go for ssd at least for now. 1tb hdd is well enough. You are fine with cabinet. So dnt change it. vs450 is a also nice entry level psu.

I went with this GPU for a future-proof path. I might consider the FX6300. But I was thinking that later this year, I might switch to a 3rd gen i5.

So it's better to stay on the FM2 platform for now. I also can't get the Kaveri since it's not backwards compatible. My mobo has no +.

Also the H60 Hydro cooler is not socket compatible with FM2.

Is that rig on partpicker the rig you have right now or the one you're about to buy ?

I would not waste money on a watercooler because that board isn't really good for overclocking

The best cpu you could go for is the 750k but that doesn't seem to be available. I wouldn't put anymore money into upgrading the cpu on that socket. I would suggest getting a 1150 motherboard with an i5 or an AM3+ mobo with an fx 6300 and getting 8gb ram. The rest of your specs look fine

The rig on partpicker is the one I'm using right now. It's been my rig for roughly 6 months.

I like the idea of getting a 1150 with an i5. But I'm not sure whether to go that path or 1155. I don't even know the difference between those sockets. Lol!

The 1150 is just a newer socket to support the haswell series processors. Although not much of a difference between the 3rd and 4th gen processors they are basically at the same price point so it would be better to buy something newer.
