POOR SUPPORT

As I promised MSI and Creative Labs, I would like to have it a matter of public record how lousy the support from these two companies in particular is.
First, Creative Labs. They have a web site where you ask for help. They then send you an EMail telling you to go to the site and see the answer to your problem. I did this, but I could not access the answer. The web site said click on the support description to see the answer. Bit there was nothing in that column. I sent another support request explaining the problem. Two Months later, they sent me an EMail telling me to go to the web site to view the answer. Guess what? No support description to click on. I sent the problem twice more with the same result. I finally got someone on the telephone who could not help, but promised to tell someone who could. Shortly, I received an EMail from this person, and I replied to her telling her the problem. The result of this was no answer at all.
Now, MSI, and another Taiwanese company, Intercom. They just don't answer at all. No customer support.
I say, don't buy from these companies unless there is a commitment to provide support. The Taiwanese really have to learn hoew to compete in the world market, and there are alternatives. NVidia has a very good site. Compaq is superb.

Creative Labs has always had bad support. Actually they've gotten better over the years too which is even more sad. But the thing people need to understand is that they're not in the business of giving support, they're in the business of manufacturing hardware. All they need to do is keep their drivers updated. Imagine if they had a full support system, they would get every joe bob who didn't know jack about computers but saw that a "creative labs" component was in their computer calling them up. But anyway, Creative Labs at least needs a better knowledge base, or maybe a support forum or something.

I encounter those from creative as well...all they know is to ask you to download their drivers but their driver got problem...wth?
