Poor Video Quality Streaming Between PC and TV

I have a IOGear Wireless 1080p Computer to HD Display Kit which I use to wirelessly link my video media on my PC to my television set via a receiving computer and home network.

It does as it's intended to do, however, at times the video can be very choppy, and in worst case scenarios will pixellate or go blocky (like bad satellite reception).

Would the likely culprit be the router sending the content to receiving PC? Processing weaknesses of the video content at the receiving computer, access of data from the host computer (ie harddrive), the streaming between the receiving computer and the IOGEAR media centre, or a combination of many?

Any suggestions on how I can isolate the problem and perhaps improve the quality of my viewing experience?

are you using VGA or HDMI?
have you tried the other connection?
is it better, both the same?
what is distance between wireless devices? is it line of sight?
have you tried the receiver on another tv?

Are you streaming in the same room or from an adjacent room? The spec sheet shows this works in the 6 - 8Ghz frequency range. This won't have much range compared to conventional WIFI.

My host PC is in one room. The second PC is in the adjacent room about 30' apart, connected through WiFi from my Cisco/Linksys EA2700 router.

The second PC streams the content wirelessly to the IOGear box at the TV which is about 10' apart. The IOGear connects to the TV by means of HDMI. HDMI is the only connection available from the IOGear box.

I only have the one TV, so I don't have resources to test on another.

Try running an ethernet cable between the two PCs. See if the WIFI link is the weak link (I suspect so).
